"My journey began long before EmpowerSupport was registered. I supported people from all walks of life—those struggling with housing, benefits, safeguarding, and emotional wellbeing. Each case taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of structured advocacy. These early experiences inspired me to create EmpowerSupport, so that this support could reach more people with transparency, compliance, and impact.

Since 2010, I have provided informal advocacy and support to vulnerable individuals across housing, benefits, safeguarding, immigration, and emotional wellbeing. This 15-year track record demonstrates both need and impact, and directly informed the creation of EmpowerSupport Advocacy Ltd as a registered organization to scale and formalize this work.

 

Community & Political Engagement

In 2021, I joined the Labour Party and, within less than a year, was approved onto the panel of candidates. I was shortlisted in seven wards to stand as a councillor — a recognition of my commitment to fairness, safeguarding, and amplifying the voices of vulnerable families. This experience deepened my dedication to transparent leadership and reinforced my mission to empower communities, not only through advocacy and care but also by engaging directly in local decision-making.

 

Through this journey, I also met Mayor Alison Lowe, in her role with West Yorkshire Police, and Mayor Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire. Building these connections with regional leadership strengthened my dedication to transparent leadership and reinforced my mission to empower communities, not only through advocacy and care but also by engaging directly in local decision‑making."
